it contains nearly all the nutrients required by us humans (this is
cool actually); and about half of its protein is in the form of free
amino acids that are ready to be used directly by our body.
(That's important information for:
weight lifters and body builders
athletes and sporty individuals
That's why it's hardly surprising that it's used by athletes worldwide for:
sustained energy and endurance it gives
In some cultures and individuals, bee pollen is also used to help assist in recovery from illnesses.
Some of the things bee pollen is
used for includes:
Helpful with skin skin problems like eczema, dry skin and acne/pimples
There are some individuals that say the bulk of research isn't available to support these conclusions.
Hmm...that being said, I'd say to take "reports from medical research and establishments with a pinch of salt".
Let's think for a moment about Big Pharma and medicine. They're not always right, though many doctors have good and altruistic intentions.
Some data of deaths caused by medical interventions:
106,000 deaths annually, at a cost of $12 billion, from adverse drug reactions;
98,000 deaths annually, at a cost of $2 billion, from medical errors;
115,000 deaths annually, at a cost of $55 billion, from bedsores;
88,000 deaths annually from infections, at a cost of $5 billion, caused by medical
37,000 deaths annually, at a cost of $122 billion, from unnecessary medical procedures;
32,000 deaths annually, at a cost of $9 billion, from surgery-related medical intervention
The above figures do not include those outpatient deaths from medical intervention (some
199,000 annually at a cost of $77 billion), or the astounding figures from Dr. Lucien Leape's 1997 study of medical
and drug-error rates (3 million deaths annually, he reports!) (Leape LL, "Error in Medicine," JAMA, 1994 Dec
On the more conservative end of the spectrum, even an expert panel from the Institute of Medicine (of the National
Academy of Sciences) found that medical errors kill from 44,000 to 98,000 Americans each year" (British Medical
Journal, 1999 December 11; 319(7224): 1519.
So, on that note, let's take things with some pinch of salt - as I mentioned earlier, there are many doctors that are good and altruistic, and if bee pollen has been around for thousands of years and can help my (and your/your loved one's) health, then why not?
How Do You Use Bee Pollen?
Since 2014, I personally prefer taking my Xtend Life Bee Pollen capsules, because it's:
so much more convenient
less risks of spills
has combination of synergistic ingredients that improves further bee pollen health benefits
I get to avoid that chalky clay-like texture
But that's me. Bee pollen also comes in form of granules and powder, which you can sprinkle over your salad and put into your smoothies.
Note: it has a chalky texture
Bee pollen supplements are very popular with athletes but if you want more energy and some of the benefits
above, you should be taking it too.
How To Choose A Quality Bee Pollen Supplement
Buying granules or powder that follows certain guidelines can go a long way in curtailing any risk with
your daily supplement dosage goals.
Not all honey bee bread is created equal. Some gather their pollen from inferior sources and this
affects the nutritional potency of the end product.
Buy your from a GMP-compliant manufacturing facility that has certificate
of analysis (COA) for every batch produced. This certifies product quality.
As most of the bee pollen supplements and products sold in
the world and US comes from China, most of these honeybee bread batches have actually been shown to be
You need to know the source from
where it is coming from.
So in order to obtain the
healthiest and best bee pollen supplement, please make sure the source
is as pristine as possible with the product being produced at
Facilities that are GMP registered comply with the most rigid standards (pharmaceutical/nutraceutical grade) so as to minimize the possibility of
product contaminants as well as providing the best health benefits.
These are the same standards pharmaceutical companies in the United States are required to operate under as
mandated by the FDA.
Heat processing or heat drying bee pollen burns and kills the sensitive enzymes (and most of the health benefits).
This also prevents the bread from becoming oxidized thus maintaining nutritional
potency. (Remember, with most granules or bread, 95% of its nutritional value isn't
even assimilated and this is why.)
Ideally, make sure the bread benefit or product rather does not contain any fillers or additives such as
sucrose (sugar), starch, gluten, silica (sand) or any other artificial colors, dyes, or flavors.
What Are Bee Pollen Users Saying About Xtend Life’s Pollen Natural Energy?
It’s very important to learn about any health product before you start
using it. While the official websites do contain a host of details about
these products, the best source of information on whether a supplement
works or not would come from the feedbacks of people who had actually
used the product.
I used to feel like I needed a
nap after work and didn't have the energy to get anything done around
the house or take my little girl outside to play. It was making me
depressed and miserable. After the first few days of taking Xtend Life Bee Pollen supplement I all
the sudden realized I wasn't feeling tired and sluggish anymore.
feel jittery or crash at the end of the day. I am still able to fall
asleep at night-I just have the energy I need to make through the whole
I have also lost about 12 lbs in the past month. I don't know if
its the product or just from having more energy and moving more.

Diana, Australia on Mar 09, 2016
As for the Natural Energy bee
pollen product, when I have to do manual labour in the garden I take
this product the day before, in the middle of the day.
The staying power
it helps to give me is fantastic considering my age (70!).

I have been taking
Xtend Life's Natural Energy Bee Pollen for one year now, and will
probably never stop taking it. It was recommended to me by my doctor to
help with my overall well-being. Strangely, I found this product to
really help me with hot flashes and I think it helps me sleep better at
night as well. I can honestly tell a difference when I miss taking it.
highly recommend Natural Energy Bee Pollen from Xtendlife!! I won't buy
it here in the USA as I don't think the quality is as good.
It is a
definite 5 stars!
Because when I miss taking it (which I do not miss
any doses any more) the hot flashes come back. I do like taking the bee
pollen a lot!
